Jordan Dorsey: Camera Obscura Images

The William Wallace War Statue and Clock Tower which used to be an Athenaeum or a reading room:
June 22nd, 6pm-ish.
This photo was taken off center for aesthetic reasons in order to break the up the negative space created by the sky.  In addition I photographed the clock tower in general because it is an old renovated building which used to hold a different historical purpose.

Same subject and time as the previous photo.
I took another photo of the clock tower and used a bit of cropping to create a different composition.  In this photo the clock tower is in the centre of the page, however, due to the cropping of the adjacent building the negative space around the clock tower creates an interesting contour line which the eye can follow.

Old Stirling Bridge:  June 22nd, 7pm-ish.
I decided to photograph the old bridge because it no longer functions as a traffic bridge, instead it is now used as a pedestrian walking bridge (which is not often used by the general public).  In this photo I focused on incorporating two of the bridges archways and minimizing amount of sky in order to create a dropped visual plane.

Same subject and time as the pervious photograph.
In this photo I only photographed one arch and tried to capture the light through the archway.  In doing the bridge splits the image in two creating a space where the sky is and a space within the arch where the light is coming through.

Same subject and time as the pervious photo.
In this photo I photographed the bridge from a different angle in order to view the underside of the archway and in doing so created allowed for more depth within the photo.

These two photos were also taken at the bridge and were just taken for fun.  I thought it was neat that you could actually see a recognizable person through the camera obscura and the subsequent photograph.  Additionally I thought it was interesting to see first had what put portrait painters out of business.
